A day at The Little Barnyard
We play outside in all weather, though we stay indoors during thunder/lightning and use caution if temperatures are below zero. The schedule below gives a good idea of our day, though it may vary day to day depending on the rhythm of the children.
Summer Schedule:
The times below may vary slightly as we go through our summer and find the right rhythm for our groups.
- 8:45-9:00 am: drop-off; child uses bathroom inside with parent, washes hands, joins teacher in nature playscape outside behind house
- 8:45-10:15 am: nature playscape free play, cooking/snack, art
- 10:15-10:45 am: farm time
- 10:45-11:45 am: hike (nature play in woods)
- 11:45-12:00 pm: bathroom, wash hands
- 12:00-1:00 pm: eat lunch in playscape, free play when finished until pick-up
- 1:00-1:15 pm: pick-up
School-year Schedule:
